To be honest, there are some really well priced hardware synths out there like the Roland Juno D, Korg X50, a used Triton LE, a Yamaha EX7 ( I regret selling mine SO MUCH!), and the Yamaha Motif 6 (first one made). I was in the same position from the opposite side - Keyboardist going to guitar and I can understand 100% your dilemma even as a keyboard player. SO, if you will, recommend me a sound module with good presets! Thanks.Ĭool to see a post like this. Also, I don't want to spend too much- used would be fine. So can someone recommend a simple sound module for good organ sounds (mainly), also some nice pads? Or am I barking up the wrong tree and should be looking at software synths? (Don't really understand how they would work in my application.) Most of the synths I see have so much going on in them, I don't think I'd use but 1% of their capabilities. Looking on the net about synthesizers and it's just a whole new world out there, they're talking a language I don't understand, and don't want to put the time into learning (again, I'm a guitarist). I want to replace it with something to do the same thing. Totally acceptable, and best of all, simple. Stereo outs on the Proteus into the 2816 to record. Many of the songs require keyboard parts I have a midi keyboard and was using it with a Proteus sound module with lots of decent (if not great) sounding presets. Hi, I am a guitarist and song writer who records demos in my home "studio" based around my Yamaha AW2816.
